It was literally billions of years ago, just before he became The Fallen. Far as I’ve gathered, a power struggle over a weapon Solus had made, the Requiem Blaster, went well beyond sitting down and talking it out. Started every problem the Thirteen would ever have since, barring Unicron.
Normally I’m not the grudge type. He was a special case - Solus was the best friend I had among us - but if he’s trying to make up for past sins, I can live with that.
Alright then, just wanted to make sure it wasn’t an issue. I mean, my own jobs are watching over a scarce but powerful substance and collecting bits of a broken sword, so I don’t get hit with walls of text at work, but that’s just me.

In my opinion, he deserved so much worse, both for Solus’s murder and for allying himself with the force of chaos we were made to fight. Primus is too forgiving; if Megs wants that luxury with me, he has to either earn it from me or find a way to raise the dead.
It’s called Rarified Energon. Normal energon is basically my race’s fuel, and I guess our blood too, but this stuff is basically the building block of all Cybertronian life. My Primus-given duty is to watch over the reserves of RE scattered throughout the multiverse, but at this point it’s kind of taken a back seat to the whole Star Saber thing.
In all honesty, this is mostly me rather than my species as a whole. If I wanted to dive into that territory, all you’d hear about is war and ruin. Almost every universe and timeline has the civil war as a defining part of our history, and the ones that dodged that bullet still have the barrel aimed at them.

It’s… complicated, to say the least. If he ever gave you his betrayal story, I’m pretty sure he’d have left out the part about him murdering my friend Solus Prime. I think he glossed it over every chance he got until he came crawling back and learned how to have a shred of guilt.
As for now… I’m on his case whenever I can manage it, but I’m willing to say the terms we’re on are close enough to friendly.
And I’m doing a really bad job of dialing it back.

Lots of time shenanigans, apparently. Literally everywhere. Sometimes I notice what looks like alternate universes rather than alternate timelines, but it amounts to a lot of the same people running around either way.
